Description

Japan's 'Food Town,' Tsukiji Fish Market, offers a wide variety of traditional Japanese cuisine. New culinary trends are created here, with a wide variety of eateries and retail and wholesale stores lining the streets. You can purchase ingredients chosen with expertise, have a meal, learn how to cut fish, and broaden your understanding of food via a range of activities. Senso-ji Temple, a must-see attraction in Tokyo's Asakusa neighborhood, offers tourists a contemporary perspective on Japan's ancient history and culture through a combination of architecture, places of worship, Japanese gardens, and traditional marketplaces. One of the oldest temples in Tokyo, this one is devoted to the Buddhist goddess of mercy, Kannon. It has statues of various gods watching over gates, shrines, and hallways. Tokyo Sky Tree is a communications and broadcasting tower. When it opened on May 22, 2012, at 2,080 feet (634 meters), it was the second-tallest building in the world, behind the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Two observation decks on the tower are open to the public: Tembo Deck and Tembo Gallery (also called Galleria). The Tembo Gallery is divided into two levels, which are connected by a curved circular ramp. From 1868 till the present, the Imperial Palace has housed the succeeding Emperors. It houses His Majesty the Emperor's formal residence, the Imperial Residence, and the Imperial Palace Complex. There are also a number of public events and ceremonies staged there. Located on the eastern portion of the royal grounds, the East Gardens of the Imperial royal are accessible to the general public. Meiji Jingu is a Shinto shrine situated in the center of Tokyo, Japan, surrounded by a massive 70 hectare forest. You will forget you are in a busy metropolis as soon as you enter this district and be transported to a traditional Japanese setting surrounded by lush vegetation. It was founded in 1920 to honor the virtues of Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, who were the driving forces behind Japan's modernization. Meiji Jingu is open daily, though its hours of operation change with the seasons. Tokyo is embodied at the vast scramble junction just outside Shibuya Station, where there is bustle in every direction. The area around the intersection is lit up with lights and advertisements, and three enormous television screens are fixed on the buildings facing the intersection. These screens flash continuously throughout the day. On a man-made island in Tokyo Bay, Odaiba is a well-liked retail and leisure center. Originally known as a group of little artificial fort islands (daiba literally means 'fort'), they were constructed in the latter part of the Edo Period (1603–1868) to defend Tokyo from potential maritime attacks and in particular in reaction to Commodore Perry's gunboat diplomacy.
