Description

On the second floor, you can indulge in a 360-degree panoramic view from the sky deck while enjoying the mesmerizing fireworks display. Experience the magnificent sight of 13,000 fireworks lighting up the Tokyo night sky in just one hour aboard the Yakatabune, with exclusive access to the fireworks launch area. Skilled musicians onboard will perform traditional Japanese music, while you savor exquisite Kuroge Wagyu Sukiyaki and unlimited soft drinks, all while immersing yourself in the tranquil riverside scenery. Step aboard the Yakatabune houseboat, which has a long history dating back to the Heian period (794–1185), and was used for entertainment by nobles and merchants during the Edo period (1603–1868). Inside the cabin, delectable Japanese cuisine awaits. On the upper deck, enjoy a spacious open-air viewing platform, leading to a uniquely designed outdoor observation area where you can take in the beauty of Tokyo Bay. The 'Adachi Fireworks' is a festival with a history of over 100 years. It was originally held in 1733 during the Mizukami Festival on the Sumida River to comfort the victims of famine and pray for the end of the epidemic by setting off fireworks. This event is considered the origin of today’s fireworks festivals. In 2020, amid the pandemic, Japan saw a surge in infections, overwhelming the healthcare system with no end in sight. Many fireworks companies also ignited fireworks, praying for the end of the pandemic and the retreat of evil. Last year marked the return of the Adachi Fireworks Festival after a 4-year hiatus, and this year’s 47th edition will launch approximately 13,000 fireworks, promising a dazzling display of colorful lights like a light show! The Adachi Fireworks Festival is considered the oldest fireworks festival in history. Its origins can be traced back to 1733, when the event was held to pray for the end of famine and the expulsion of evil spirits. This significant event, the Adachi Fireworks Festival, is also the largest and most recent downtown fireworks gathering in Tokyo. Here, everyone can indulge in delicious food and enjoy spectacular fireworks displays to their heart’s content.
